IGFBP7 and acute kidney injury: Patients who had both, urine [TIMP-2]x[IGFBP7] ≥ 0.3 (ng/ml)2/1000 and AKI by creatinine criteria, experienced higher mortality than AKI patients with urine [TIMP-2]x[IGFBP7] < 0.3 (ng/ml)2/1000, suggesting that cell cycle arrest markers may have potential to prognosticate outcomes when combined with the conventional AKI criteria.
