While the genetically predicted increases of GRN (OR = 0.66, 95% CI: 0.60–0.74, P = 1.4 × 10− 14), alpha-2-antiplasmin (SERPINF2) (OR = 0.75, 95% CI: 0.65–0.88, P = 3.0 × 10− 4) and LILRB2 (OR = 0.94, 95% CI: 0.91–0.97, P = 4.9 × 10− 4) protein in plasma showed protective associations with AD. This evidence concerns the gene LILRB2 and Alzheimer disease.
