For instance, one SD increase of CD2-associated protein (CD2AP) (OR = 1.23, 95% CI: 1.17–1.31, P = 1.0 × 10− 12) in plasma was associated with 23% higher risk for AD, and one SD increase of progranulin (GRN) (OR = 0.77, 95% CI: 0.72–0.83, P = 2.2 × 10− 12) in plasma was associated with 23% lower risk for AD. This evidence concerns the gene GRN and Alzheimer disease.
