Up to date, canakinumab has been successfully used in several inflammatory-related diseases such as systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis [30], Adult-Onset Still’s Disease [31], atherosclerosis [32], pyoderma gangrenosum [33], and Familial Mediterranean fever [18], among others, which all have in common aberrant IL-1 signaling. This evidence concerns the gene IL1B and pyoderma gangrenosum.
