To address unanswered questions, future research could focus on the following: employing high-throughput RNA sequencing to comprehensively identify splicing events regulated by ESRP1 in a variety of tumor types; using CRISPR/Cas9 (104) to modulate ESRP1 expression and directly test its role in tumor progression, metastasis, and invasion; and investigating the interaction of ESRP1 with immune cells in the tumor microenvironment to assess its potential impact on immunotherapy efficacy. The gene discussed is ESRP1; the disease is neoplasm.
