CRP and abscess: While the univariable analyses revealed that age ≥75 y, ASA‐PS ≥3, diabetes, NSAIDs use, ongoing chemotherapy, ASA‐PS ≥3, time from onset to operation ≥72 h, on‐admission eGFR <50, on‐admission CRP ≥20, operative time >2 h were potential predictors for abscess formation, the multivariable analysis identified NSAIDs use (OR 3.76, 95% CI 1.09–13.03; p = 0.037), chemotherapy (OR 13.56, 95% CI 2.18–84.4; p = 0.005), and eGFR<50 (OR 4.72, 95% CI 1.30–17.17; p = 0.018) as independent predictors.
