We also summarized the signaling pathways involved in tumor aerobic glycolysis as well as in glycolysis in senescent cells and found that some signaling pathways in tumor cells also play a role in cellular senescence, such as the PI3K–AKT–mTOR pathway and the Ras signaling pathway, and can promote glycolysis in tumor cells, leading to increased tumor cell proliferation. This evidence concerns the gene MTOR and neoplasm.
