MPG and cystic fibrosis: Energy regulatory protein alpha‐1 acid glycoprotein (AAG) exerts various biological activities, including drug/ligand binding and disease markers.[28, 29, 30, 31] AAG can interact with the skeletal muscle to reduce glucose oxidation, but it is not the result of an effect on glucose transport.[32] However, the specific role of AAG in CF especially the jellyfish toxin‐induced one, and its potential therapeutic relevance remain largely unexplored.
