APOA1 and acute promyelocytic leukemia: This study not only revealed significant lipid metabolism abnormalities in newly diagnosed acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) patients, characterized by elevated triglycerides (TG) and decreased high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), apolipoprotein A1 (APOA1) levels, but also profoundly verified the key role of the PTK2 gene in the pathogenesis of APL through cellular experiments (Graphic abstract).
