At 1 μM, the fluorescence intensity of CDK4 and CDK6 was significantly lower compared to the control and lower doses of LA-CB1, further corroborating the results from the Western blot analysis and supporting the hypothesis that LA-CB1 induces G1 phase arrest by targeting CDK4/6.Together, these data indicate that LA-CB1 exerts its anti-tumor effects through a dual mechanism: (1) by inhibiting cell cycle progression via the downregulation of CDK4/6 and Cyclin D1, and (2) by promoting apoptosis through the activation of caspase-3. The gene discussed is CDK6; the disease is neoplasm.
