Patients using GLP-1 RAs had no differences in odds of postoperative aspiration pneumonia (odds ratio [OR], 0.78; 95% CI, 0.57-1.06; P = .12) (Table 3) or acute respiratory failure (OR, 0.98; 95% CI, 0.89-1.06; P = .57) compared with patients not using GLP-1 RAs after adjusting for sex, age, geographic region, the aforementioned comorbidities, and surgical acuity.
