SP1 can modulate the expression of genes related to inflammation which has been shown to regulate the microglial/macrophage inflammatory response via the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway after intracerebral hemorrhage (45), while EGR1 plays a pivotal role in the function of macrophages, particularly in regulating the inflammatory response and gene expression associated with macrophage activation (46), which need further study to facilitate the understanding of details on the modulatory function of these transcription factors in the immune response of macrophages during acute hypoxia. The gene discussed is SP1; the disease is intracerebral hemorrhage.
