The strongest associations were observed when the TLS in the tumor periphery were considered: Higher number of peripheral TLS were associated with higher numbers of stromal CD4+, CD8+, CD20+, FOXP3+, CD138+, and PDL1 + cells, as well as the infiltration of CD3+, CD4+, CD8+, CD20+, FOXP3+, PD1+, and PD-L1 + cells in the tumor cell compartment.
