IL17A and heart failure: In an experimental study by Yu et al. [45], it was found that in rats with heart failure induced by myocardial infarction, peripheral IL-17A entered the brain and activated autonomic nerve and neuroendocrine neurons in the brain, especially in the PVN, triggering the production of broad spectrum proinflammatory factors and chemokines, thereby activating sympathetic nerve and hormone activation and ultimately leading to the deterioration of cardiac function in heart failure.
