In cervical cancer, LSD1 is negatively correlated with GPER (G-protein coupled estrogen receptor), and high expression of LSD1 is related to the low lifetime of cervical cancer patients75; HIF1α (hypoxia-inducible factor-1α) is involved in the sensing and adaptation of cellular oxygen level, while in pancreatic cancer, LSD1 is positively correlated with HIF1α and prevents the acetylation-dependent degradation of HIF1α by recruiting HDAC2 (histone deacetylase 2) to maintain the stability of HIF1α.76 This evidence concerns the gene KDM1A and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
