Recent guidelines7integrate clinical and pathology as amyloid, tau, and neurodegeneration (ATN) to diagnose AD with amyloid-β as a core criteria, and added imaging biomarkers such as positron emission tomography with (11)C-labeled Pittsburgh Compound-B (11C-PIB PET), and Tau -protein PET imaging, to the clinical criteria to improve the reliability of the early clinical diagnosis of AD.
