Other variables, including sex (OR: 1.08, 95% CI: 0.5–2.51), age (OR: 0.99, 95% CI: 0.97–1.01), current corticosteroid use (OR: 1.78, 95% CI: 0.86–3.71), and inflammatory markers such as C-reactive protein (CRP, OR: 0.98, 95% CI: 0.86–1) and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR, OR: 1.0, 95% CI: 0.99–1.02), were not associated with sarcopenia. Here, CRP is linked to sarcopenia.
