Additional adjustment for PTEN expression did not significantly affect the association between the Warburg‐high subtype and either CRC‐specific (HRPTEN‐unadjusted 1.17; 95% CI 0.99–1.38 versus HRPTEN‐adjusted 1.14; 95% CI 0.96–1.35; Table 3) or overall survival (HRPTEN‐unadjusted 1.18; 95% CI 1.03–1.34 versus HRPTEN‐adjusted 1.15; 95% CI 1.01–1.32; Table 3), and the Warburg‐high subtype remained a significant predictor of overall survival. This evidence concerns the gene PTEN and colorectal carcinoma.
