Bevacizumab is a recombinant monoclonal humanised antibody that blocks angiogenesis by inhibiting human vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A) and by preventing the activation of its receptor (VEGF-R).18 A retrospective study conducted by Rahbar et al. demonstrated the role of VEGF-A in the pathogenesis of RRP.23 The squamous epithelium of papilloma presented a strong expression of VEGF-A mRNA, and VEGFR-1 and VEGFR-2 were strongly expressed in papilloma’s blood vessels endothelial cells. Here, KDR is linked to papilloma.
