In breast cancer MDA‐MB‐231 cells or lung cancer A549 cells that overexpress NQO1, co‐treatment with β‐Lap and CGA led to a remarkable increase in PKA activation (phosphorylation at Thr198) and subsequently inhibited autophagy by inducing LC3 phosphorylation at serine 12. The gene discussed is MAP1LC3A; the disease is breast carcinoma.
