Studies have shown that CSF biomarkers, such as reduced levels of Aβ42 and p-tau, correlate with AD pathology and can aid in distinguishing AD from other forms of dementia (Van Harten et al., 2021), but less is known about the biomarker and neuroimaging parameters and profiles in diverse populations, particularly in Sub-Saharan African (SSA) populations.
