ERG and neoplasm: The histopathology report described nodules of an atypical spindle cell proliferation in the deep dermis with numerous mitoses and scattered red blood cells within the tumor. Cells were erythroblast transformation-specific regulated gene (ERG) and cluster of differentiation 31 (CD31) positive, confirming the vascular origin of the tumor and ruling out the differential diagnosis of a spindle cell/pleomorphic lipomatous tumor.
