CRP and metabolic syndrome: Higher CRP levels were significantly associated with MetS, as validated in this study.CRP was significantly positively associated with MetS, and this association remained significant even after adjusting for factors such as BMI, smoking, alcohol consumption, and chronic comorbidities (B = 0.011, β = 0.209).As an important marker of inflammation, CRP is closely associated with chronic low-grade inflammation, which is considered one of the core pathological mechanisms of MetS [22].
