Inhibitors of PTP1B have shown promise as therapeutic options for managing type 2 diabetes [109], and several compounds from B. papyrifera, including (1,1-dimethylallyl)-5-(3-methylbut-2-enyl)-3,4,5,7-tetrahydroxyflavonol, 3,3,4,5,7-pentahydroxyflavone, and broussochalcone A, exhibit inhibitory activity against PTP1B [109].
