The in vitro release profile of DCX from the hybrid nanoparticles under different conditions, pH 5 (which mimics the acidic environment found in the endosomes or tumor microenvironment) and pH 7.4 (representing the physiological conditions in the blood), is illustrated in Figure 3A.
