Guan et al. [44] showed that andrographolide sulfonates reduced colitis in DSS-induced mouse models by inhibiting pro-inflammatory macrophage polarization within the liver–gut axis, suppressing YAP-mediated colitis responses and downregulating the TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB signaling pathway to reduce inflammatory cytokine release. Here, TLR4 is linked to colitis.
