In this study, ROS levels in macrophages inoculated with the TR-ROP16-KO, TR-KO, ROP16-KO, and RH strains were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the highest levels were observed in the cells infected by the TR-ROP16-KO strain between 4 and 12 h post infection. The gene discussed is TXNRD2; the disease is infection.
