In the normoxia conditions of breast cancer cells, CHD4 is recruited at HIF (Hypoxia-Inducible factor) target gene promoters, binds with (H3K9ac), and facilitates enhanced RNA polymerase II loading through p300, which is followed by the activation of HIF target genes ANGPTL4, NDNF, LOX, and VEGFA; the same result was shown in human breast tumors, suggesting HIF transactivation by CHD4 [17]. This evidence concerns the gene CHD4 and breast cancer.
