Age, tobacco, and alcohol consumption were statistically significant in the presence of the three variants associated with RASSF1 (rs2073498), SERPINE1 (rs1799889), and EFNA1 (rs12904), suggesting that these variables increase the risk and susceptibility of developing CRC; however, when the dominant models of the variants were analyzed in the presence of these confounding variables, it was found that the dominant models of EFNA1 and RAD51 were not statistically significant. Here, RAD51 is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
