Additional mutations in genes associated with autophagy (ATG16L1, IRGM, LRRK2), pathogen recognition (CARD9), lymphocyte differentiation (IL23R), anti-inflammatory interleukins (IL-10), and pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNFSF15) have also been implicated in the development of IBD [13].
