This aspect, associated with the relationship that we identified between necrosis and the CDKN2A gene, helps to confirm the perspectives of the study by Appay R et al. in supporting the correlation between CDKN2A gene deletion and MVD and/or necrosis as negative risk factors for overall survival and progression-free survival in the case of mutant IDH gliomas without 1p/19q codeletion [91]. This evidence concerns the gene IDH2 and central nervous system cancer.
