The study of Robert Clark et al. on over 6.000 subjects from the Precocious Coronary Artery Disease (PROCARDIS) study cohort showed that both LPA gene variants (rs3798220 and rs10455872) are associated with higher levels of Lp(a) (mg/dL) with odds ratios for coronary disease of 1.7 (rs10455872) and 1.92 (rs3798220). The gene discussed is LPA; the disease is coronary artery disorder.
