ROPI protected FUS-ALS, TDP-43 ALS, and sALS hiPSC-derived MNs by preventing reactive oxygen species formation, neurite degeneration (preserved length), neurotoxicity (reduced LDH leakage), apoptosis (decreased cleaved caspase-3), and TDP-43 aggregate formation (except in FUS-ALS MNs where FUS aggregates were prevented) [11]. This evidence concerns the gene TARDBP and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
