The LAURA study is a phase 3, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial that randomized (with 2:1 ratio) patients with unresectable stage III NSCLC, with EGFR exon 19 deletion or exon 21 L858R point mutation, and without progression during or after chemoradiotherapy, to receive osimertinib or placebo until disease progression. The gene discussed is EGFR; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
