We further found that expression of the HSF1 target genes HSPA1A and HSPA1B was significantly higher in ovarian cancer samples with high IER5 family gene expression compared to samples with low IER5 family gene expression (Figure 1C,D), suggesting that the IER5 family gene–HSF1–HSP family gene axis may play an important role in ovarian cancer. This evidence concerns the gene IER5 and ovarian carcinoma.
