Previous studies have indicated that myofibroblasts emerge from fibroblasts during the LF fibrosis process and are characterized by stemness-associated genes such as ACTA2 and MYLK. Based on these results and the single-cell RNA dynamics map (Fig. 4C) obtained using the VECTOR method [24], we proposed that StrFB represents the functional state of the normal LF tissue and serves as the origin for fibroblast subpopulations.
