Since BMAL1 restrained GSDMD-mediated pyroptosis that accelerated periodontitis progression, and BMAL1 was repressed in the gingiva of circadian disruption-related periodontitis, we hypothesized that recovering the level of BMAL1 could be a feasible approach to alleviating circadian disruption-aggravated periodontitis. This evidence concerns the gene GSDMD and periodontitis.
