Compared to the Quartile 1 (lowest CMI) group, individuals in Quartiles 2, 3, and 4 were significantly more likely to be male, age, smokers, and have higher prevalence of diabetes, hypertension, CVD, stroke, physical inactivity, BMI, FPG, TC, TG, LDL-C, ALT, BUN, Scr, and SUA, while they had lower levels of HDL-C and engaged in less vigorous physical activity (P <  0.05).
