When examining the association of specific CHIP driver mutations with the risk of stroke, researchers have found that mutations in DNMT3A, TET2, ASXL1, JAK2, and TP53 were present at varying frequencies, with TET2 being significantly associated with an increased risk of total stroke (HR, 1.93; p = 0.006) and IS (HR, 1.93; p = 0.006). This evidence concerns the gene JAK2 and stroke disorder.
