The results of the multivariate analysis revealed that after adjusting for age, sex, BMI, log NT-proBNP, LVEF, hemoglobin, renal function, coronary heart disease and hypertension, the peak VO2 was lower in the T2DM group compared to the non-T2DM group, with a mean difference (95% CI) of −2.0 (−3.18 to −0.82) ml/kg/min (P < 0.01). This evidence concerns the gene NPPB and Hypertension.
