LYVE1 and neoplasm: We and other studies have shown that these fragments are involved in tumor lymphangiogenesis by binding to lymphatic vessel endothelial hyaluronan receptor 1 (LYVE-1), which is an identified 41% homolog of the cluster of differentiation 44 (CD44) glycoprotein and is largely restricted to the endothelial cells as a lymphatic-specific receptor for HA7.
