MAEA and colorectal carcinoma: Subcutaneous GI tumor models were next established in nude mice using cell lines in which MAEA was stably overexpressed in order to assess the effects of this E3 ligase on tumor cell proliferation and oxaliplatin resistance in vivo. Relative to control tumors, both GC and CRC tumors in which MAEA was overexpressed exhibited impaired growth relative to corresponding controls, and this effect was even more pronounced in the context of oxaliplatin treatment (Fig. 4A-F).
