Given the dysregulation and essential roles of ALKBH5 in maintaining CSCs across various tumors, including breast cancer 16, 49, GBM 14, acute myeloid leukemia 15, and endometrial carcinoma 50, ALKBH5 is emerging as a promising target for therapeutic strategies aimed at eradicating CSCs and achieving complete remission in cancer therapies.
