Applying label-free proteomic quantitation method and statistical analysis, several differentially expressed proteins (DEPs) were identified in the serum of breast cancer patients compared to controls, including SBSN, ANG, PCOLCE, and WFDC3 (upregulated), and PFN1, FLNA, and DSG2 (downregulated). This evidence concerns the gene PFN1 and breast carcinoma.
