Our analysis of mTORC1 activity in SESN1&2 knockout (SESN1&2 KO) cells demonstrated that inactivation of SESN1&2 in lung adenocarcinoma A549 cells does not affect phosphorylation of mTORC1 targets, and the GATOR-mTORC1 pathway is not responsible for the regulation of cell death by SESN1&2 [9, 18, 19]. This evidence concerns the gene SESN1 and lung adenocarcinoma.
