Despite DCIS occurring less frequently in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) patients (34.1–47.2 %) than in HER2-positive patients (57.4–71.6 %), both HER2-positive and triple-negative (TN) IBC tend to respond well to systemic therapy [3,[5], [6], [7]]. This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and ductal breast carcinoma in situ.
