In conclusion, our study reveals a high incidence of DVT in patients with patellar fractures, especially when intermuscular vein thrombosis is included, and highlights the critical importance of timely surgical interventions and rigorous preoperative screening to manage risk factors such as prolonged time from injury to surgery, presence of open and multiple injuries, and advanced age, while also noting that elevated levels of albumin and sodium serve as protective factors. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and deep vein thrombosis.
