Remarkably, tissue resident memory T cell (TRM) and recirculating memory T cells (TCM) also express IFN-γ, IFN-γ-induced chemokines and CXCR3 (20, 21, 51, 52), suggesting that IFN-γ and its inducible proteins may be involved in the maintenance and recurrence of vitiligo. The gene discussed is CXCR3; the disease is vitiligo.
