However, in contrast to the previous reports that patients with active vitiligo had higher expression of CXCL9 and CXCL10 compared to those with stable vitiligo (8, 38, 39), we only found CXCL9 expression is higher in the circulation of patients with active vitiligo compared to those with stable vitiligo, which may be related to the participants in our study, including segmental and non-segmental vitiligo patients. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL9 and vitiligo.
