Although no IL‐10 therapies have been clinically approved to date, systemic administration of IL‐10 has been explored for the treatment of inflammatory diseases, such as inflammatory bowel disease, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, and pancreatitis, and although generally well tolerated, clinical outcome goals were not met (Carlini et al., 2023; Saraiva et al., 2020).
