The predominant subtype in CRPC is AR-positive adenocarcinoma (CRPC-adeno), but approximately 10–17% of patients treated with ADT or anti-androgen therapy exhibit a neuroendocrine differentiation (NE) phenotype, and these tumors are classified as neuroendocrine prostate cancer (NEPC) (4, 7).
