In each case, VIMA detected novel biological signals, including: a dementia-associated tissue niche consisting of oligodendrocyte-rich areas in cortical layer 6, a statistically robust signature of TNF inhibition in ulcerative colitis characterized by replacement of lymphoid aggregates with disorganized mesenchymal activity, and previously unknown spatial characteristics of rheumatoid arthritis disease subtypes. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and ulcerative colitis.
